I am kind of weird, at least according to my wife, I love cash and I love using it. Nothing against other payment methods, I just believe it has a certain utility that digital payment systems cannot replicate. For instance, when the grid goes down or Russia detonates an EMB in our atmosphere, I will still be able to buy bread the following day. Maybe. Yet, I have noticed a weird trend this years. Every time I pay in cash, which is nearly all the time, I get an eye roll from the accepting party at least 50% of the time. This is now being confirmed by utter collapse of cash use (article below).
